Beyond a Single Origin

The difference between sourcing tea and building tea.

There are tea farmers who grow exceptional single-origin leaves. There are large manufacturers who produce at volume. We sit in a different position entirely — a négociant in the original sense of the word.

We buy from the best.

We process with precision.

We deliver what your brief requires, not what happens to be available.

Multi-origin access, single point of contact

Working with eight regions means we can match taste profiles, manage supply risk, and build blends that no single-origin supplier can offer.
You deal with one team, one relationship, one standard.

Over 110 years of accumulated judgment

Quality in Japanese tea cannot be reduced to a specsheet. It lives in the hands that assess the leaves, in the nose that catches a subtle off-note, in the years of experience that no equipment can replace. We have that. We have had it since 1912.

Built for B2B, not retail

We are not selling you a branded product and asking you to resell it. Weare building the ingredient — or the finished product — that makes your brand better. Our entireoperation is structured around serving yours.

Flexible to your format

From loose leaf to fine powder, from tea bags to custom blends, we adaptto the product you're building — not the other way around.

Eight Regions.
One Partner.

Japan's tea, in full.

Japanese tea is not one thing. Each region has its own character — shaped by climate, altitude, cultivar, and the expertise of the people who grow there. We work across eight of Japan’s key tea-growing regions.

Shizuoka (our home)

Japan's largest tea-producing prefecture. Makinohara's plateau teas areknown for their clean, bright character and reliable consistency. This is our origin, and where ourdeepest relationships lie.

Kyoto

One of the most prestigious names in Japanese tea. Uji gyokuro and tencha carry a depth of umami and silky texture that few regions can match. We source selectively from trusted Uji partners.

Kagoshima

One of Japan’s major tea-producing regions. Kagoshima teas offer a robust, full-bodied character that performs exceptionally well as a blend base.

Saitama

Home of Sayama tea, known for its rich body and distinctive roasted aroma. The region’s traditional hiire finishing brings depth and character to the cup.

Mie

Known for kabusecha and high-grade sencha. Mie teas offer refined sweetness and aroma, making them particularly suited to premium loose-leaf products.

Miyazaki

Known for teas grown at altitude, with distinctive aromatic complexity — increasingly prized by specialty buyers.

Fukuoka

Yame is one of Japan’s premier gyokuro-producing districts, known for exceptional depth of umami and refined sweetness.

Saga

Ureshino in Saga is famous for kamairicha — Japan’s pan-fired green tea, with a distinctive roasted aroma and character.
